profile-renegade-playground It’s just like RECESS baby! Except you can dress like Mel Gibson in “Braveheart” if you like.

Since we have behavior problems, the principal has told us we can’t all be on the playground at the same time. So, we’ll release different waves of Renegades onto the course at different times throughout the day. When you register, simply select the wave that you want to race in, and that will be your start time.

Each wave will contain a limited number of Renegades, so some waves will fill up faster than others. While we will do our best to accommodate your desired time slot, we can’t guarantee availability. It’s first come, first served, so if you snooze you lose.

Regardless of what wave you’re in, each Renegade will be timed. All entrants will receive a race bib with an entry number and an embedded tag so we can time your race accurately.

The Renegade Playground Challenge takes place on a course approximately 5k in length (that’s just over 3 miles for those of you not up on the new math). So run. Run fast. Soon, you’ll arrive at the first of several obstacles designed to test your physical and mental stamina.

Your goal: Get over/through/under the obstacle and run to the next one.

If you finish, you’ll be tired, sore, and completely filthy. You may bleed. But you also might have just had the most fun of your life doing the sort of stuff your mother used to yell at you about.

We won’t tell her if you won’t, but if she’s on Facebook, she’ll probably see your pictures.

Sorry, but if you’re under the age of 14, you’ll have to go find your OWN playground or something. Any Renegades under the age of 18 will need a parent or legal guardian to sign their registration forms/waiver, as well as be present for the duration of the event.

If you can’t negotiate an obstacle, we understand. You’re more than welcome to go around or skip it, but if you do, you will not be eligible for any prizes and may be subject to scorn and ridicule from your friends and fellow Renegades.
