MANCHESTER, N.H.- On Friday, February 03, 2012, Ormond Beach, Florida Police arrested a Weare, NH man, wanted in connection to a sexual assault against a minor that was reported to Manchester Police in late September 2011. The man was arrested at an area hotel without incident, identified as:

Gerald Wilson
45 years old
Weare, NH

Suspect Gerald Wilson was wanted in connection with an incident where a 9 year old Manchester girl had reportedly been assaulted by an adult male acquainted with her mother. As a result of the investigation, Manchester Police had obtained warrants for the arrest of Wilson for 2 counts of Felonious Sexual Assault and one count of Criminal Threatening. The charges stem from the September incident where Wilson is alleged to have sexually assaulted the girl and then threatened to physically harm her if she told anyone about it.

Police were unable to locate Wilson at his Weare, NH address and believed he had been staying with friends in an effort to evade arrest. However, yesterday, Manchester Police received a report from a Florida woman who had recently become acquainted with Wilson and became suspicious about him. She subsequently “Googled” his name, resulting in her finding media accounts of Wilson’s criminal allegations and wanted status. She subsequently contacted Manchester Police which lead to Wilson’s arrest today on those warrants.
