IMPORTANT NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
TO: Residents of Martha Drive and Sabra Circle FROM: Michael A. Fowler, Director of Public Works
SUBJECT: Emergency Dam Repair – Beaver Meadow Dam
This notice is sent to inform residents of a situation in which the Beaver Meadow dam requires an immediate repair due to significant undermining of the dam structure. A crew from American Excavating will commence repair efforts on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. It is anticipated that the work will take approximately one week to conduct the repairs. The repair will be conducted from the end of Sabra Circle where there is an access point.
For the safety of you and your family, it is important to stay out of the construction area until the repair is completed. Although the structure appears to be safe, water is flowing under the dam at a high rate of velocity. This is especially dangerous for young children who may be crossing the dam or playing on the structure itself.
Equipment and material may be staged in the paved cul-de-sac of Sabra Circle for the duration of the repair project.
Questions may be forwarded to the DPW office which is open Monday through Friday from 7am – 4pm. The phone number is 432-6144.
Thank you for your cooperation.
