Man Armed with Club Robs Store

MANCHESTER, NH- On Monday, May 06, 2013, just before 9:00 PM, Manchester Police responded to Bunny’s Superette at 75 Webster Street for  a reported robbery.  On arrival, Ofc. Matt Barter met with two clerks who reported that a man armed with a wooden club had just robbed the store.

According to the clerks, they were both standing behind the counter when the man entered the store, approached the counter wielding a club and demanding cash.  Apparently frustrated when the clerks had trouble opening one of the registers, the man repeatedly slammed the club on the counter and at various displays.  He also threatened to shoot the clerks if they did not comply with his demands, although no gun was seen.

The suspect left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  He is described as a white male in his forties, about 5’7 to 5’ 8” tall with a medium build.  He was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers.  He also wore blue rubber gloves, an olive fishing style hat with tan stripes and a circular emblem on the back, and had black nylon covering his face.
