World Sports Grille Transforms Jillian’s in Manchester into First-Class Gastro Pub
Offering 40+ Craft Beers; Farm Fresh Food; Riverside Deck Dining; Best Sports Viewing in City

MANCHESTER, N.H. – World Sports Grille, a new gastro pub offering an expansive selection of international micro brews, whiskies and bourbons, and a diverse menu inspired by local, farm-fresh ingredients, will take over the former Jillian’s in Manchester on May 15th.

Located on Phillippe Cote St. adjacent to the Granite Street Bridge and Merrimack River, WSG will offer the city’s best world-class sports viewing on numerous HDTVs, championship level billiards tables, and a new professional dart room. WSG will also offer beer and bourbon dinners, coupling its collection of hand-picked, inspired craft beers, bourbons, whiskies, and single malt scotches with selected menu items.

“As we transform Jillian’s to WSG, there are three things that are most important to us: quality, freshness, and exceptional service and value,” said Wendy Colby Fisher, co-manager of World Sports Grille.  “Our focus will be on creating superior food using locally sourced ingredients, with a huge selection of craft brews, all enjoyed in a fun and friendly, tavern-style location – inside and out.  By combining first-class, quality food and drink, with the best sports viewing location in Manchester, and one of the largest outdoor decks in the city, we feel we have a winning combination worthy of an exceptional gastro pub.”

Prepared daily by local chef Patrick Ogle, the menu will feature traditional and wholesome comfort foods such as soups, seafood, salads, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and a Build Your Own Burger menu selection offering your choice of burger – beef, turkey or chicken breast – and special accompaniments.  There will also be an ever changing list of creative local and seasonal daily specials.

“Our beef is certified Angus, our sandwiches are oversized, our seafood and produce are delivered fresh daily from the very best suppliers in the region, and the flavors in each dish are market inspired and seasonally driven,” said Ogle, chef at World Sports Grille.  “We will feature a seasonal menu with innovative and contemporary dishes – some cooked with beer, some with a special bourbon-based marinade.  We pride ourselves on bringing the freshest food to our customers, combined with an excellent variety of beer and spirits, at an affordable price.  We are excited to provide our customers with a lively place to drink and one of the best new places to eat.”

Ogle will use local ingredients to create diverse and delicious beer-friendly dishes like Guinness Braised Bratwurst, Grilled Angus Sirloin Steak Tips, Rustic Artisan Pizzas, Pub Fish and Chips with a Blue Moon Ale batter, and Maple Glazed Scallops, as well as salads and soups using locally sourced produce.

Craft beers will change seasonally, and now include among others Curious Traveler, Long Trail Double Bag, Angry Orchard, Weihenstephan, Woodstock Pig’s Ear, Long Trail Hibernator or Shipyard Seasonal, Dogfishhead, Maredsous, Piraat Belgian Ale, along with Bass, Blue Moon, Guinness, Sam Adams Boston Lager, Sam Adams Seasonal, Weinhards IPA, Bud Light, Coors Light, and Miller Light on tap.  More than 40 additional brews are available in the bottle. A wide selection of whiskies and bourbons are also available, including Blanton’s Original Single Barrel Bourbon, Prichard’s Double Chocolate Bourbon Whiskey, Hancock’s Reserve Bourbon Whiskey, The Balvenie PortWood Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Aged 21 years, Jailers Premium Tennessee Whiskey, and Hirsch Selection 20 Year Old American Whiskey, to name just a few.   Wine and signature cocktails will also be available.

According to Greg Stevens, CEO of GameWorks Entertainment LLC, corporate parent for Worlds Sports Grille, the venue will continue to showcase pro sports games on the numerous HD+ television screens around the bar.  The venue will also offer 15 tournament-ready championship billiards tables, as well as four league-worthy dart lanes in a designated dart room, and shuffleboard.  Live bands will perform periodically.

“Whether coming to watch the game, or play a game of darts or pool, or just to enjoy a relaxing dinner and drinks with friends, WSG will offer a fresh approach – a lively and fun place to drink at one of the best places to eat,” said Stevens.  “With the warm weather upon us, the outdoor deck is going to be the ideal spot to kick back and enjoy a cold beer, a great meal, and the fresh air.”

WSG also plans to host beer dinners, for those who love beer, and enjoy food made with and consumed with beer. The first beer dinner is scheduled for June 27th with Sam Adams Brewery.  Call 603.626.7636 for reservations.

“We will regularly hold beer dinners, where we bring in a guest brewery to work with our chef to create a fantastic four-course dinner, each paired with a unique beer from the guest brewery,” said Tim Murphy, co-manager of WSG, along with Colby Fisher.  “This is an approachable way for patrons to enjoy beer the way it should be tasted and to show our pride in offering local and handcrafted specialty beer.  We’ll also be holding similar whisky and bourbon dinners and are eager to welcome new customers, as well as our regular patrons. We are confident everyone will enjoy the high-end products in a relaxed and comfortable setting.”
WSG offers Monday-Wednesday Happy Hour specials from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with $2 pints, and $3 mugs on all draft beers.  Hours of the restaurant are Monday – Wednesday 3:30 pm to 12 am, Thursday 11:30 am to 12 am, Friday and Saturday 11:30 am to 1 am, and Sunday 11:30 am to 12 am.  WSG is 21+ after 9 pm every day.
