New Hampshire Lottery Launches New Tri-State “Gimme 5” Game with Top Prize of $100,000;
Plus New Hot Lotto Sizzler® and Fast Play Game

All Games Go on Sale Sunday, May 12th

CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Lottery is launching a handful of new games on Sunday, May 12th, including a brand new Tri-State game called “Gimme 5” with a top prize of $100,000.

“This game will be easy to play and fun to win!” said Charlie McIntyre, executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery.  “Gimme 5 offers players the chance to get their hands on a hundred grand three times a week! It’s a great addition to our tri-state game offerings.”

According to McIntyre, players choose five numbers from 1 to 39, or ask for an Easy Pick. If players match all five winning numbers, they win the top prize of $100,000. Match four winning numbers and win $250, match three winning numbers and win $7, and match 2 winning numbers and win $2. Tickets cost $1.00. Gimme 5 drawings will take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The first drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15th.

Currently, other Tri-State games include Tri-State Megabucks℠ Plus, Tri-State Pick3®/Pick4® Daily Numbers games, and Fast Play games.

The New Hampshire Lottery is also launching the new and improved Hot Lotto Sizzler® Game which offers an ALL CASH, TAX FREE jackpot, which starts at $1,000,000.

“Hot Lotto Sizzler will be really on fire, especially since the jackpot prize will be all cash and tax free!” said McIntyre.  “We pay the taxes on the jackpot prize, which means winners get the entire jackpot. We have also revamped the other prizes that may be won and have increased payouts. If players want to add a little sizzle to their ticket, they can still purchase the Sizzler feature for an extra buck.  When you sizzle your ticket, you triple the amount of any non-jackpot prize you win!”

Tickets for the new Hot Lotto game also go on sale on Sunday, May 12th. For the cost of a $1 ticket, players can choose 5 numbers 1 through 47 and a Hot Ball Number 1 through 19, or choose an Easy Pick. Drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday.

According to McIntyre, the New Hampshire Lottery is also introducing four new Fast Play games on May 12th.

“Fast Play games are like Instant tickets without the scratching.  We have a whole family of Fast Play games on sale at different prices, that offer more ways to play and more ways to win,” added McIntyre.  “Just match your numbers with the numbers in the play area and you could win up to $2,500!”

The four new Fast Play games on sale on May 12th are:

$1 Sizzlin’ Cash, win up to $400
$2 Solitaire, win up to $1,000
$2 Smokin’ Hot Dice, win up to $2,000
$5 Roulette Riches, win up to $2,500

“We regularly review our game offerings, and talk with our players to learn what they are looking for and how we can improve our games and create a better play experience,” said McIntyre.  “Keeping the churn on our games is what we do — we know that is what our players want.  We are really excited about these new games and if your mom likes to win money, then this Mother’s Day could be a winner! With the Powerball jackpot estimated at $270 million this Saturday night, it’s a great time to buy some tickets and take a chance for you and for your mom on becoming our next big winner!”

Teens Robbed of I-pod/Cell Phone

MANCHESTER, NH- On Monday, February 11, 2013, at about 6:30 PM, Manchester Police responded to a Clay Street address for a report of a robbery.  On arrival, they met with two 16 year old Manchester teens who reported they had been the victims of a robbery a short time earlier on Somerville Street, near Belmont Street.

According to the boys, they were walking in the area when they were approached by two men, one of whom demanded their belongings, indicating his companion had a gun, although no gun was observed.

One of the boys surrendered his I-pod Nano and Galaxy S3 cell phone and the men left.  They were last seen leaving the area as passengers in an older, dark colored 4-door sedan operated by a third individual who was possibly wearing a red sweatshirt.

The first suspect was described as a white male in his forties, about 6’3” tall with a slender build and dark “stubble” on his face.  He was last seen wearing a dark colored vest and a green “beanie” style hat.  The second man, alleged to have possessed a gun, was described as a clean-shaven white male in his forties with an average height and build.  He was last seen wearing a camouflage shirt and khaki pants.
