Sid Glassner 1(Hour 3a, b, c) Senior Fellow Sid Glassner couldn’t wait to get started this morning.  The selling out of our kids by the Public School Educrats at the federal, state and municipal government levels was this week’s theme.  Are the federal funds lost when states opt out of programs like Common Core more important than our kids?  In too many cases, says Glassner, that is exactly the case.

Are the federal funds lost when states opt out of programs like Common Core more of a concern than our kids?  In too many cases, says Glassner, that is exactly the case.  What about considerations for the teachers?  Don’t they matter, too??  Glassner described technology looking for something to do.  Especially in New York, where a company called InBloom had to fold when parents and teaches said, “NO!”

Glassner explained the consistent, persistence that is required in our democratic system to weed out the weak leaders in Public Education.

(Hour 3b) 05-01-2014 Hour 3b

We played a couple of videos documenting the parent/teacher uprising in the State of NY.  Watch Common Core Civil Disobedience Growing and NY Teacher Obliterates Ed Commissioner at Public Hearing.

Glassner on the nature of “sloppy” democracy and the larger issues at stake.  “What kind of country do you want your children to inherit?  Do you want things dictated from Washington?  We need to address the dearth of leadership in Public Education and the blind acceptance of things that are not good for kids.”
