Sex Ed for Sixth Graders 1(Hour 2b) We weren’t sure what to believe about reports of lurid lesson plans in a sixth-grade sex ed class in Jacksonville, FL.  A listener informed us that the report was bogus.

We discussed the potential pushing of political ideology through national education standards (Common Core) and where parents should be drawing the line with public schools.

Editor’s Note: We received the following e-mail after today’s show

Mr. Girard,

We have been alerted to an article that recently appeared identifying Duval County, Jacksonville, Florida as the district where a sex education teacher was disciplined. Please be advised that while our district is Duval County Public Schools, we do not operate nor are we aware of a Clinton Middle School. Thank you for contacting us to ensure that your listeners are informed with accurate information. You can feel free to contact me with any subsequent needs or questions.
