Baldasaro identified the frustrating problems with Veteran’s Healthcare in NH. Our state is one of two in the country without a full service Veteran’s Hospital. Thanks to some “pencil neck” that made the decision to cut federal funds in 1999.
What can be done to reverse the downward trend?
Baldasaro also discussed the “silent issue” for NH Veterans: Homelessness.
We heard about the scars they carry and the organizations working to provide homeless veterans shelter including apartments on Somerville Street in MHT.
