PSNH Crews Work to Restore 140,000 in Wake of Devastating Storm

MANCHESTER, N.H., November 26, 2014 – PSNH crews are continuing to work to restore power to thousands of customers impacted by outages caused by wet, heavy snow.  At 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, about 140,000 PSNH customers were reported without power due to trees, limbs and branches weighed down by snow and falling on power lines and equipment.

PSNH informed customers without power to anticipate a multi-day restoration effort, as the damage is significant and will require time to assess and repair.

Besides its own crews and dozens of in-state, independent, line and tree workers, the company will receive assistance from its Northeast Utilities sister companies in Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as crews from Canada The first of those additional crews are expected to arrive in New Hampshire on Thanksgiving morning.
