The show began this morning with a brief congratulations to Tony Sapienza for his recent election victory.  Rich then went into some detail as to why non-partisan elections are not useful.  He cites differences between small and large towns and the different dynamics of each, with regards to partison elections.

Does party affiliation define candidates?  Rich then examines two hundred forty elections that he has covered and discovers that only seven of the incumbents of these elections were defeated.
