I spent an hour with Presidential Candidate Dr. Ben Carson today in Exeter, home of the Republican Party. That would be the anti-slavery political party for the benefit of those who did not study history or progressives who refuse to accept that fact.

Dr. Carson was in NH and took the time to meet with me, representing The Coalition of NH Taxpayers, Jim Adams, representing Granite State Taxpayers and Tom Thompson – no introduction necessary. We all signed on to the over-sized American’s for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge while standing on the Exeter town Hall steps. Tom brought his over sized tax cutting axe.

Before Dr. Carson took “The Pledge” we sat around a table at a small bakery and talked taxes and current events in general. Mrs. Carson was with us. She is delightful and well grounded, a regular person anyone would be happy to chat with.

Here is what I noticed about Dr. Carson.

Ready?

He listens.

I know it seems odd. Maybe it is NOT being in Washington, DC that enables a person to do that. But he does listen.

And not to try and be a keeper of the minutes of the meeting but simply a casual observer, I did enjoy one particular issue, other than lowering government spending, he was adamant about.

Here it is.

He says that voter fraud should be a felony and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as an example to others who may want to attempt it.

What’s not to like.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing, after all we have been through since 2008, to be able to count on vote counts being legit?
