Glassner: A skeptical eye

All  the information that has been recently published about high-stakes testing clearly indicates that Common Core simply isn’t working and the high-stakes tests associated with the Common Core have been rendered useless.

After the Department of Education spent 330 million dollars to produce the two high-stakes tests they will not shed a bit of information that will improve instruction or help students.

John Lyscars, a member of the Hookset Board of Education visited with Sid to discuss the possibility of implementing a full-day kindergarten program in Hookset.  The Board’s committee that is looking into such an expansion of the district’s curriculum will have an initial report ready on December 15 of this year.  We will follow up on this initiative and have John visit with us after the initial report has been submitted.
