(Hours 3a,b,c) Sid GlassnerRich spoke to Sid Glassner, Senior Fellow with the New England Society for the Study of Education, for Is Our Children Learning.  Sid informed the listeners about the State Department of Education’s upcoming listening tour in Manchester.  They discussed the Secretary of Education position, the Granite State Home Educators and the theory that every player should receive a participation award.

(Hour 3b) After playing a Thanksgiving Day clip from WKRP in Cincinnati, Sid talked about stress that sometimes comes with Thanksgiving get-togethers.  He and Rich then talked about becoming a responsible citizen.

(Hour 3c) Sid closed Is Our Children Learning out by giving the listeners a lesson about Sputnik.  He gave a story about a ‘Sputnik moment’ for character education and told Rich about what kind of behavior should not be tolerated.
