STATEMENT FROM REP. FRANK GUINTA ON PRESIDENT OBAMA’S MANCHESTER SPEECH

(Washington – November 22, 2011) Rep. Frank Guinta (NH-01) released the following statement:

“I’m glad President Obama recognizes the need for good, middle-class jobs. He and I agree on that. But he neglected to mention a key fact: the House of Representatives is actively working to help job creators hire new employees. We have passed more than 20 job-creating bills in recent months and sent them to the Senate, where Mr. Obama’s allies have neglected all of them. The country doesn’t need another version of the costly and unsuccessful stimulus plan. We need to let businesses do what they do best: create, innovative and expand. That’s what the 20-plus bills passed by the House will do. You’re right, Mr. President, we do need more jobs; but you’re wrong, sir, in wanting to throw more borrowed money at the problem and hope that solves it. Join with the House in restoring the good jobs Americans want. Tell the Senate’s leadership to pass the many jobs bills that are waiting for their attention. Let’s work together and get more people back to work.”
