On Sunday, April 6th the First Annual Bagels and Biscuits 5K will begin at the Derryfield Park at 9:00 AM. The race will exit the park via Circular Dr and Reservoir Ave and head into the neighborhood north of Bridge St and then return to the park, again via Circular Dr and Reservoir Ave.
Although the course is considered “open” to traffic there will be a few road closures in key locations to ensure that the route is safe for the runners. Both Circular Dr and Reservoir Ave will be closed during the race and traffic on Belmont St will be restricted from entering off of Bridge St as well as from Smyth Rd. Drivers in this area are urged to use caution if they encounter runners in the roadway.
This race benefits Temple Adath Yeshurun as well as the Animal Rescue League of NH and is considered a six legged race, in that participants are welcome to bring their four legged friends along with them. Information on the race can be found at http://www.bagelsandbiscuits5k.com/
