Ted Gatsas(Hour 3b, c)

(Hour 3b) Mayor Ted Gatsas shared his thoughts on the passing of the Manchester Academic Standards at last night’s School Board meeting.  He addressed the controversy against Common Core and the starting point that has been established for moving forward.

Gatsas updated us on STEAM Ahead NH and discussed the complicated process of finding takers for the buildings vacated by Lowe’s, Shaw’s and Shop & Save.

(Hour 3c) Mayor Gatsas talked about the tricky business of property taxes, assessing such taxes and reevaluations every five years.

Jim asked the Mayor about the economic climate of the City, especially downtown.  Also, Ted’s thoughts on the debacle at Market Basket and the stand taken by Demoulas employees.
