MANCHESTER, NH – Please be advised the City of Manchester has made the following arrangements in preparation for the January Blizzard. 

Snow Emergency: A snow emergency will be put into effect beginning this evening (Monday, January 26th) at 7:00pm through Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 12:00pm;

Overnight off-street parking: Overnight off street parking will be available free of charge at the following locations beginning this evening Monday, January 26, 2015 at 6:00pm through Wednesday at 12:00pm: Pearl Street Lot, Victory Garage (25 Vine Street).

On the west side the parking lots of Gossler Elementary (99 Sullivan Street) and Parkside Middle School (75 Parkside Ave.) will also be available.  Please note that the west side parking location needs to be cleared of vehicles by Wednesday, January 28th at 6:00pm or vehicles will be towed.

MTA: Bus service for the city is expected to run as scheduled but please be advised there could be delays;

Emergency Homeless Shelter: The City will open the emergency homeless shelter at 351 Chestnut Street this evening, Monday, January 26, 2015 and Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:30am;

Manchester School District: The Manchester School District will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th and Wednesday, January 28th;

City Operations: On Tuesday, January 26, 2015 the city will operate with essential personal only.  City Hall will be closed in addition to all other city departments (i.e. welfare, health, tax collector, city clerk, ordinance violations etc.)
