This morning we were joined by Sid Glassner for our weekly segment of Is Our Children Learning. Sid talked about a speech that he went to last night by John Sununu. They moved on to issues revolving around charter schools and common core. Tune in to hear more!

In the second segment of Is Our Children Learning, Sid wanted to bring attention to H.R. 2382. This is a federal bill that was released in the House of Representatives. He went into detail and addressed certain parts of the bill and brought examples. There was a third grader who was bullied and was not permitted to go to a party in the school because she didn’t take a test. That did not sit well with him. Listen to what he had to say about it.

In the final segment Sid and Rich continued with the topic of H.R. 2382. Sid shared with us about Governor Brown from Oregon. Governor Brown signed a common core opt out bill. The opt out movement is here to stay and Sid talks about the magnitude in it. Tune in to hear more about this important issue.
