As provided by the mayor’s office, we publish the statement of Mayor Ted Gatsas on the murder of Denise Robert in Manchester’s North End.  ~Publis

MANCHESTER, NH – – My deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Denise Robert. Last evenings tragedy has left an unexplained loss of a beloved sister, daughter and friend and my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in this very difficult time.

The north-end of Manchester is an extremely close-knit community and this senseless act has left a neighborhood with many questions, searching for answers and an explanation. Chief Nick Willard and the men and women of the Manchester Police Department will not rest until there is justice for the victim. Violence like this will not be tolerated in Manchester.

The Manchester Police Department is in the midst of an intense investigation – there will be justice for this senseless crime and any and all resources that Chief Willard needs will be provided to him.

There is a neighborhood meeting this evening at 5:30pm at the Engine 5 Fire Station at 44 Webster Street please attend so we as a community can find justice for the victim, the neighborhood and the city.

We will not rest until there are answers. We will not rest until this community feels safe again.
