The following is a message published as submitted by the Manchester Police Department regarding increased traffic and road closures on Elm Street for the days leading up to the primary. ~ Melanie

Manchester Police DepartmentThe Manchester Police Department would like to advise you that there will be an abundance of “NH Primary” news coverage that will be starting Thursday February 4, 2016 until Wednesday February 10, 2016. Expect an increase in pedestrian traffic on Elm St in the area of the Raddison Hotel and Veteran’s Park.

On Sunday, February 7, 2016 the Manchester Police Department start a “Lane Closure” in the area of Franklin St and Market St to facilitate a temporary broadcast studio to cover the “NH Primary”. The closure will begin at 8:00AM and continue through Wednesday, February 10. 2016.

Market St will restricted to one lane eastbound from the area of Canal St to Franklin St. Franklin St will be restricted to one lane southbound from Market St to Middle St. There will be periodic “Full Road Closures” during designated times. There will be Manchester Police Officers on site to assist.
