(Hours 3b,c) After speaking about the confirmation of Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education, Rich and Sid Glassner, Senior Fellow with the New England Society for the Study of Education, discussed school testing for Is Our Children Learning.  Sid told the listeners about the amount of time that will be devoted to testing next month and encouraged parents to opt out, while informing them about the punishment for opting out.

(Hour 3c) Sid encouraged parents to build a bigger and better opt out campaign.  He and Rich talked about efforts from the Democratic Party to weaken the opt out movement and Sid shared his hesitancy towards DeVos’ confirmation.  Finally, they speculated about what President Donald Trump’s impact on Education will be.
