(Hours 3a,b) Rich posed the question, “Should your local school district be in charge of what kids eat,” as he began the segment.  He discussed Michelle Obama’s school lunch program and the Federal Government’s stance on the regulation of bake sales.  He then spoke about Art Beaudry’s opt-in agenda took a call from State Representative Victoria Sullivan, who discussed bake sale compliance issues at Highland Goffe’s Falls School and thanked the Humble Host for his participation in last night’s Manchester Board of School Committee meeting.

(Hour 3b) In his continuation of the topic, Rich commented on parental-involvement related concerns.  He pointed out that abstinence from unhealthy foods may not be the best route and commented on the chain-of-command in deciding the fate of bake sales.
