(Hour 2a) Rich started off the second hour by talking about last night’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, which included some weird errors when it came to the tax rate set by Hillsborough County in the proposed budget. It was explained away as possibly a rounding error, but there may be something more at play.

He then went over the tax cap override, and how even if tax rates don’t change, the citizens of Manchester end up paying more via property values increasing. That led Ed Naile to talk about a time that he sued a town over the evaluation of a property, where he ended up effectively paying 40 some odd dollars per thousand in home value.

Rich concluded the segment by talking about how this latest budget and contract showdown will end up effecting the mayor race this autumn, with how it will effect Mayor Gatsas and Joyce Craig in particular.
