Alderman Real Pinard: I think he will do a good job

For Immediate Release

MANCHESTER, NH  July 20, 2021–The campaign of Republican Manchester mayoral candidate Richard Girard released the endorsement of former Ward 6 Alderman Real Pinard, today.  Pinard, an Independent, served the ward from 1998 – 2004 and again from 2006 to 2010.  He was one of the founders and past chairmen of Manchester Crimeline.  For many years, he served on the city’s Fire Prevention Committee.  Pinard owned the Real Friendly Corner Store at the corner of Hanover and Hall streets from 1978-1988.  A tireless advocate for Ward 6, he often worked with Girard in his capacity as a mayoral assistant and an alderman at-Large on neighborhood concerns.  Pinard backed Girard’s successful bids for Alderman at-Large, Charter Commission and School Board at-Large.

In thanking Pinard for his support, Girard said:  “Having Real’s support is humbling.  It really is.  I can’t think of anyone who more relentlessly addressed constituent concerns and neighborhood issues than Real Pinard.  He took it to a level that few aldermen have reached and he never, ever gave up, ever.  He always did what he thought was best for the city, too.  He truly earned his “Independent” voter registration status.  Real was a doer, not a talker.  While he hardly ever spoke during meetings, what he did spoke volumes.  It’s truly an honor to have his support.”

Statement of support from former Ward 6 Alderman Real Pinard:

I think Richard will do a very good job!  That’s why I’m supporting him.
