For Immediate Release
MANCHESTER, NH. July 26, 2021–The mayoral campaign of Manchester Republican Richard Girard released the endorsement of former State Senator David Boutin, today. Boutin, a Republican, represented District 16, which includes Manchester wards 1, 2 and 12. Prior to being elected to the state senate, Boutin was elected as a state representative form Ward 1 and also the town of Hooksett, where he now serves as a town councilor and is on the Planing Board. He also served on the Manchester Planning Board and was a real estate appraiser.
In announcing the endorsement, Girard praised Boutin’s dedication to public service. “For as long as I’ve known David, he’s wanted to make a positive difference in people’s lives. He worked hard on the Manchester Planning Board, as a state rep. and as a state senator. He focused on constituent service and studied the issues. David remained respectful when disagreements over issues arose and didn’t let things get personal. He kept focused on the issues and did what he thought was right. As an elected official, I’ve strived to do the same and that won’t change when I’m mayor. I’m grateful for David’s support and thank him for it.”
Statement of support from former State Senator David Boutin:
Having served as a mayor’s assistant, charter commissioner and at-Large alderman and school board member, Rich is uniquely qualified to lead the city forward over the next two years. I ask my many friends in Manchester to join me in enthusiastically supporting Rich Girard for mayor. He’ll make things right.
