For Immediate Release
MANCHESTER, NH July 29, 2021–The campaign of Manchester Republican mayoral candidate Richard Girard released the endorsement of Earl Rinker III today. Rinker had a storied career in city and state politics, serving three terms as the alderman of Ward 1 and five terms on the Executive Council. He served five years as a Vice-Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee and is a former Chairman of the Manchester Republican City Committee, which honored him with the Bella Duperron Award “for years of Grassroots Commitment to the Principles and Goals of the Manchester Republican Party.”
In announcing Rinker’s endorsement, Girard said he was happy to have the backing of someone who served the city well. “Earl prioritized constituent services and was a stalwart supporter of taxpayers during his time in office. I liked his style of politics. He was honest, direct and hard working. He did his homework and always looked out for the taxpayer. Importantly, when constituents called, Earl answered and did his level best to resolve their issues. He served our city, state and his constituents well and it’s my honor to have his support. It really means a lot.”
Statement of support from Hon. Earl Rinker III:
I have known Rich for 30 years or more. Since Manchester was in my Council District, I worked with Rich when he was Mayor Ray Wieczerek’s Chief of Staff, helping to solve city problems with the state. I have followed Rich’s political career both as an alderman and as a Board of School Committee member. I’m most impressed with Rich’s desire to always get it right. He never takes short-cuts. His “stick-to-it-ivness” is legendary. Anyone who knows Rich, or has listened to his radio show, would immediately know that he is an honest, hard-working, conservative politician who attempts to always get it right. I’m certainly proud to endorse Rich Girard for Mayor of Manchester. He will make a great Mayor.
