I was happy to be a guest on Rich Girard’s Girard-at-Large program yesterday. It was great to be back in my hometown. Rich was gracious and curious and was generous enough to use the whole hour, from 8:00 – 9:00 am, without commercial interruption.
I got a bit weary and careless near the end and once once used “Medina” when I meant “Mecca,” and “Mecca” once when I meant “Medina.”
Just to be clear; the earliest revelations began in Mecca and were directed to all of humanity. The Medina revelations that followed were directed at assisting Muslims organize and form a community that was in its earliest stages still small and vulnerable.
