We’ve posted the video shown to Third Graders at Highland Goffe’s Falls Elementary School.  Parents who believed the content was inappropriate for their 8 year old children petitioned the school board to ask that before such material was shown, they be notified in order to determine whether or not they wanted it shown to their kids.

Turns out the district has not only one policy requiring parental notification and consent prior to viewing such material, it has two.  Assistant Superintendent David Ryan said the matter has been addressed in writing with HGF Principal James Adams and that the school will now be following both policies.  He said it was the goal of the district to ensure all parents had the opportunity to review and provide permission for their children to see all such materials in advance.

Here is the video that sparked the controversy.
