Richard Girard(Hour 3a, b, c)

(Hour 3a) Rich has a few questions about a report on the Manchester schools by the NH Center for Public Policy Studies.  Regardless, the report clearly illustrates BIG problems in the Queen City.

And the problems are NOT with the public schools.

Here’s the report.

(Hour 3b) Rich called into question questionable zoning decisions.  Are city planners unintentionally importing poverty?

Single moms on medicaid now account for 43% of Manchester’s population.  Over 50% of kids in Manchester schools get a free or reduced lunch.

A byproduct of all of that high-density housing approved at City Hall?

(Hour 3c) Rich raised important questions for the City of Manchester:

Is the Manchester tax base becoming too weak to adequately fund the public schools?  Are wreckless, foolish zoning practices the culprit?
