Mayor Ted Gatsas raises over $250,000, completes over 10,000 door knocks,  continues “Talk With Ted” Tour

MANCHESTER, NH  – – In his first financial campaign filing of the 2015 election cycle submitted to the Manchester City Clerk on Friday, July 31, 2015 incumbent Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas reported raising $252,810 in financial contributions. This is the most Gatsas has raised in the first reporting deadline for any of his Mayoral campaigns.

Gatsas began, “In April my team and I worked out a plan for the upcoming election cycle and set forth our fundraising goals to meet the needs of that plan.  While I am delighted by the bottom line I am truly humbled by the positive sentiment that my contributors have passed on to me with regards to the quality of life in the city and the positive effect my leadership has had on the city for the past six years.”

“While I am pleased with our fundraising efforts thus far I am most thrilled with the progress we are making in the field.  In early June the Gatsas for Mayor Street Team began knocking on doors in the twelve city wards visiting with voters and asking them to complete our quality of life survey.   When it comes to the overall quality of life here in the city on a scale of 1 to 10 our average response by residents is an 8.  The survey also includes a question regarding the issues residents are most concerned with – the overwhelming response has been the recent drug addiction issues the city is facing specifically related to heroin,” continued Gatsas.

“In late June we also launched the “Talk With Ted Tour” a series of ten informal community meetings held throughout the city.  We have seen great turnout and residents have come to the meetings to ask questions, listen, offer ideas for the city and have their concerns addressed.  On Wednesday evening our tour heads to Ward 10 at the NH Institute of Politics starting at 5:15pm and on Wednesday, September 9thwe are hosting a city-wide Tele-town Hall beginning at 6:00pm,” said Gatsas.

“The Manchester municipal primary if just six weeks away on Tuesday, September 15thand we will continue to bring our positive message to the citizens of Manchester.  This campaign is about making sure that we continue to improve our quality of life here in Manchester, invest in out future and make smart decisions about the direction of the city,” concluded Gatsas.
