ACHLS interviews every applicant who wishes to attend it. ACHLS believes the true measure of a person’s capabilities to succeed cannot be measured solely by statistical data, which does not measure drive, dedication, obstacles overcome, perseverance, and a good heart. In some circumstances, there is a second interview with the entire Admissions Committee.

Students who are admitted to ACHLS have to meet standards that are kept very rigorous, both academically and ethically. Students who enroll at ACHLS must maintain the necessary average and do the necessary amount of work. ACHLS’s goal in maintaining rigorous standards is to ensure an institution whose graduates are known as knowledgeable, talented, hard-working, and honest, and will have shown the ability to become successful lawyers, teachers, business professionals, historians, curators and other professionals.
