The weather is warming up, which means it’s time for the Merrimack Police Department Open House. This year we are hoping for a little better weather, even though last year we had our best turn out ever. This year’s Open House is scheduled for Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 10am to 2pm.

The Merrimack Police Department is bringing back some of the great demonstrations and displays, such as, K-9 demo, Taser demo, Nashua PD Bomb Squad, NH National Guard, and Dr. Couret DNA children’s kit. We are also making arrangements for the Nashua Humane Society to make a return with some animals, NH State Police, Seatbelt Convincer, NH State Fire Marshal and New Hampshire Liquor Enforcement D.W.I. Command vehicle.

There will also be Bounce Houses, Face painting and a very special guest Sean McDaniel the Balloon Maker.

The Merrimack Police Department is so proud to be able to present our own K-9 demo. Officer Walters along with K-9 Gunny will be putting on two demos at 11am and 1pm. The Merrimack Police Department would like to thank everyone for coming together and making the K-9 Program a success.

The Open House has something for every one of all ages. Please come out and show your support for Gunny! We’re hoping to make this year’s open house as successful as last year’s. This is your opportunity to come see your Police Department and to see what we have to offer.

Please mark your calendar for this date and we hope to see you at the open house.
