Woman Wakes to Intruder in Home, Manchester Business Burglarized – MPD Needs Your Help


Woman Awakes to Unknown Intruder in Her Home

MANCHESTER, NH- On Monday, May 20, 2013, at about 11:20 PM, Manchester Police responded to a Merrimack Street address for a report of a burglary in progress.  On arrival, Ofc. Jonathan Makara met with a 66 year old woman who told him she had just chased an unknown man out of her home.

According to the woman, she was asleep in a first floor bedroom off the kitchen when she was awoken by a bright light.  She then saw the man standing in her kitchen and yelled at him to get out of her house.  The intruder fled out the rear door, running east in the alley to an awaiting vehicle, which then drove east in the alley from the address.

The woman could not describe the vehicle, but told Ofc. Makara that the intruder was a white  male, about twenty years old, 5’10” to 6’00” tall with a slim build and brown hair in abuzz cut.  He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and dark pants.

Business Burglarized

MANCHESTER, NH- On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at about 12:20 AM, Manchester Police responded to Giovanni’s Roast Beef and Pizza at 379 S. Willow Street for an alarm activation.  On arrival, Ofc John Levasseur and Ofc. Din Jenkins found a damaged front window, apparently shattered with a large rock for entry.  Some cash and change was missing from the tip jar on the counter and more change was taken from the office area.

Teens Robbed of I-pod/Cell Phone

 

MANCHESTER, NH- On Monday, February 11, 2013, at about 6:30 PM, Manchester Police responded to a Clay Street address for a report of a robbery.  On arrival, they met with two 16 year old Manchester teens who reported they had been the victims of a robbery a short time earlier on Somerville Street, near Belmont Street.

 

According to the boys, they were walking in the area when they were approached by two men, one of whom demanded their belongings, indicating his companion had a gun, although no gun was observed.

 

One of the boys surrendered his I-pod Nano and Galaxy S3 cell phone and the men left.  They were last seen leaving the area as passengers in an older, dark colored 4-door sedan operated by a third individual who was possibly wearing a red sweatshirt.

 

The first suspect was described as a white male in his forties, about 6’3” tall with a slender build and dark “stubble” on his face.  He was last seen wearing a dark colored vest and a green “beanie” style hat.  The second man, alleged to have possessed a gun, was described as a clean-shaven white male in his forties with an average height and build.  He was last seen wearing a camouflage shirt and khaki pants.
