Sid Glassner

Sid Glassner

Sid Glassner, Senior Fellow with the New England Society for the Study of Education, graced us with his presence this morning to answer the question, “Is Our Children Learning.”  Sid started his segment discussing Governor Maggie Hassan’s veto message concerning House Bill 603.

In the second segment Rich and Sid jumped right back into it!  The number of children who opted out of the Smarter Balanced Assessment in Manchester is staggering!  Sid highlighted the fact that people should look closely at what our elected officials are doing.  In this case he is talking about her veto message towards the House Bill 603.

We continued with our discussion about Governor Hassan’s veto on House Bill 603.  Representative Victoria Sullivan called in to tell us about the voting schedule for the override and the local public view of how education should be handled in our state.  In this VITAL hour Sid and Rich discuss a topic that will directly affect the education and growth of our children.  We have to be vigilant and we are thankful that Sid brought this to the attention of the public.  Tune in to to the final segment of the day.
