(Hours 3a,b,c) Sid GlassnerSid Glassner, Senior Fellow with the New England Society for the Study of Education, joined us for Is Our Children Learning.  He started off by talking about today’s Inside Education before moving on to the subject of U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan being replaced by John B. King Jr.

(Hour 3b) To start off the segment we played a clip dealing with Common Core (Click here for the archive post).  They continued on the topic of the U.S. Education Secretary.  Finally, Rich asked Sid about Universal Pre-K.

(Hour 3c) Sid continued with the issue of Universal Pre-K.  They discussed a move to introduce it in Manchester.  They discussed claims made and how the public should be handling them.  They also talked about what makes children ready to learn.  Click here for more information about the aforementioned group.
