Will Infantine, of Aspen Insurance Agency, joined us this morning for our State House Insider segment.  He walked us through the process of how our legislatures create the laws we all live by.

Will explained that the easier work has been largely completed and now they are left with the more difficult issues.

Among the topics covered are rail lines and opiates legislation.

We also covered Will’s recent six hour hearing on workman’s compensation.  The segment continued with Will describing the three types of legislation, philosophical, moral and financial, and learned that it is not the legislatures job to redistribute wealth, but to enact laws that reflect what is good for the state, not necessarily what is best for a particular district.

We closed with an invitation to attend Jon Burt’s annual hot dog day.  Bon appetite!
