Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences on cost effective criteria in legislating.  Cost-effective criteria in legislating has been a much-examined subject for the past two decades.  NCSL published “Legislating for Results” in 2003, and the Pew Charitable Trust, in conjunction with the MacArthur Foundation, provides assistance through their “results first” initiative to states wishing to implement  a cost-benefit analysis approach that helps them invest in policies and programs that are proven to work.
