The House Ways & Means Committee will be having an Executive Session on HB370 to repeal the Education Opportunity Tax Credit Scholarship Program! The Committee vote will determine their recommendation to the full House of Representatives.

Thus far your child, along with 270 other children, have applied for Education Opportunity Tax Credit Scholarships from The Network for Educational Opportunity.

We know families need education options and the education tax credit scholarships level the playing field for needy families in our communities. They directly help you to overcome the barriers to an education that is a great fit for your child.  We shared with legislators, at the hearing, that we have heard from many families really willing to make incredible sacrifices for their children and requested that they let us keep our promise to these low-income children that have already applied for scholarships

We can defeat this repeal bill, but we need your help.

Please send emails and /or call the committee members before Tuesday, February 12 asking them to vote “NO” on HB 370!

The Executive Session will be on Tuesday, February 12 at 2:30 in the LOB (Legislative Office Building) Room 202 in Concord, NH.

Please also consider sending the committee a brief email that explains why they should keep the scholarship program in place or send a personal story of what educational options and a scholarship may mean to your families.

The committee’s email is HouseWaysAndMeansCommittee@leg.state.nh.usor send a message to each member, find the list of members and their email addresses and phone numbers here; just click on a legislators name.  If one of your Reps is serving on this committee, be sure to tell him/her that you are a constituent!

Thank you, to the families, teachers, legislators and community leaders who are taking a stand on behalf of the Education Tax Credit Scholarship program. We are very grateful for your support.
