(Hour 3b) Christine Duffley is running for School Board in Ward 12. She’s always been involved with her community and recently got involved in politics because she believes citizens NEED to be involved. She describes her concerns about special education and the local control that would be lost with the implementation of Common Core, citing the very real impact in other states. Duffley stresses that, “Teachers and parents are a BIG part of the solution on education. And we shouldn’t be losing great teachers to other towns because we’re not paying them enough. We all need to come together to find common ground.”
