Peggy Robertson, one of the founders of the National Opt-Out movement and a Colorado teacher told listeners why and how she established a movement that rejects high-stakes standardized tests. The movement which now has a leader in almost every state (New Hampshire has one) continues to provide for parents a sound, pedagogical rationale for why they should opt their children out of the abusive, meaningless standardized tests.    The movement in Colorado has been a successful one and its influence at the legislative level has been growing.  The Opt-Out organization holds an annual conference which next year will be in Philadelphia.

“Inside Education” will keep its listeners informed of the conference as well as other plans that originate within the National Opt-Out movement.
