Sid GlassnerBob Schaeffer, Public Education Director of Fairtest: National Center for Fair and Open Testing was Sid’s guest today.  Discussions centered on the work of the organization, the meaning and worth of standards (Common Core) and the effect high-stakes testing has on students.  The new re-authorization of the “No Child Left Behind Act” now known as the “Every Student Succeeds Act” was the focus of considerable inquiry as was the legacy of former Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
