Wasserman Shultz: Caught colluding with Clinton

Wasserman Shultz: Caught colluding with Clinton

On the eve of the Democratic National Committee’s presidential nominating convention, party boss Debbie Wasserman Shultz announced her resignation.  Apparently, Wikki Leaks’ release of about twenty thousand emails, many of them hers, showing the party conspired with Hillary Clinton’s campaign to sandbag Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid was just too much baggage to carry.  Sanders had often accused D N C officials of colluding with Clinton’s campaign.  Looks like he was right!  And, in a move that’s bound to make Texas Senator Ted Cruz look like an even bigger jackass, Sanders, who didn’t get beat fair and square like Cruz did, issued a statement saying Shultz had made the right decision for the the party and that quote

Sanders: Still backing Hillary

Sanders: Still backing Hillary

While she deserves thanks for her years of service, the party now needs new leadership that will open the doors of the party and welcome in working people and young people. The party leadership must also always remain impartial in the presidential nominating process, something which did not occur in the 2016 race.

Sanders, who has endorsed Clinton, will speak tonight at the convention.  According his campaign Sanders will, quote

make it clear that Hillary Clinton is by far superior to Donald Trump on every major issue from economics and health care to education and the environment.

The statement says he’ll also quote “rip into Trump” end quote on energy policy and global warming, I mean climate change because the planet’s warming stopped about twenty years ago.

Among tonight’s speakers is Pam Livengood from Keene, who is raising her grandson because if her daughter’s struggle with addiction.

The convention will feature a citizen and her illegal immigrant mother who, with her illegal immigrant father, lives in fear of deportation every day.

First Lady Michelle Obama will cap off the night with Vegas odds makers taking bets on whether or not she’ll go sleeveless to show off those sexy arms one more time in Prime Time before leaving the White House.

Cops are the victims, not their attackers

Cops are the victims, not their attackers

In response to the lineup, the Web site Blue Lives Matter wrote quote:  “When somebody tries to murder a cop, they don’t get to be called a victim because the officer protected themselves from being murdered.  Labeling these people as victims just continued to perpetuate the false narrative of Black Lives Matter and continues to contribute to officers getting killed.

McNesby:  Takes on Dems

Philadelphia’s Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 President John McNesby issued a statement saying he and the union’s membership were “shocked and saddened by the planned choice of speakers” at the upcoming convention.  McNesby said the were quote:

insulted by the exclusion of police widows and family members as speakers at the convention…It is sad that to win an election Mrs. Clinton must pander to the interests of people who do not know all the facts, while the men and women they seek to destroy are outside protecting the political institutions of this country.  Mrs. Clinton you should be ashamed of yourself if that is possible.
