Manchester, NH — Alderman Crissy Kantor recently announced her decision to withdraw from the mayoral race and seek reelection for Ward 6. Kantor has held the seat since winning a special election in May 2023 and was reelected later that year.

Kantor, a lifelong resident, business owner, and grandmother of three, reaffirmed her commitment to serve.

“I want to continue to serve the people of Ward 6 and bring more transparency and accountability to City Hall. I believe Manchester cannot afford radical ideas that threaten our Manchester values and divide us,” said Kantor. “I aimed to motivate Manchester citizens to attend Board of Mayor and  Aldermen meetings and hold all of us officials accountable. Wasteful spending impacts not just our wallets but our future generations.”

While acknowledging the end of her mayoral campaign, Kantor thanked those who supported her.

“Running against an incumbent mayor of the same party was challenging, but there were incredible people who stood by me and put their necks out on my behalf. I am very grateful to all who supported a Manchester First campaign. I believe the best thing I can do for our city is to run for reelection and fight for the things that matter most to the people of Manchester: greater transparency, common sense, and fiscal responsibility.”
