Mayor Ted Gatsas(Hour 3b, c)

(Hour 3b) Mayor Ted Gatsas sang the praises of “anyone who puts their name on a ballot” and gave us his take on yesterday’s primary results.

On the polarized GOP, Gatsas evoked President Reagan when he said, “I hope we can agree 80% of the time and move forward.”

Gatsas shared the excitement from teachers and students on the Jr. STEAM Ahead program at Jewett, Beech & Green Acres.

Also, the Hooksett tuition contract.  Has Start & Finish finally been resolved?

(Hour 3c) Gatsas got into the weeds on the looming battle between the City of Manchester and the NH Department of Education on Smarter Balanced Assessment testing.

Is it accurate to say that officials at the NH DOE lied to us about waivers?  Tune in for the Mayor’s “diplomatic” response.

The teachers contract passed.  What does it mean to the City?

Also: Bronstein Park, stair climbing, the United Way Day of Caring and 9/11 remembrance ceremonies at McLaughlin School.
