New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief David J. Mara, announce that an investigation is ongoing into a shooting incident that occurred in Manchester on Saturday, May 18, 2013.

At approximately 10:58 p.m., Manchester Police responded to a report of a shooting at the area of Pine and Prospect Streets. Officers responded to that area and discovered an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. That adult male was treated at the scene and then transported to a local hospital, where he later died. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, May 20, 2013, to determine the victim’s cause and manner of death. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin.
