(Hour 3a) Senior Fellow Sid Glassner offered another take on delaying the opening of school during a deep-freeze.

(Hour 3c) Glassner had more to say about costly colleges before our host read the letter by Manchester Teacher Kelley Tambouris on Smarter Balanced Assessment testing and the negative effect of such tests on her students.

Rich and Sid discussed the problems of Common Core’s “joy-killing” and excessive testing.  “The time to stop is now,” asserted Glassner.
