(Hours 2a,b,3a) After talking about her bookDoctor Julianne Cooper gave us a very interesting lesson about Mexico before moving on to today’s big topic: Christopher Columbus.  She told us about where they were in their understandings of the world at that point.

(Hour 2b) Dr. Cooper continued where she left off and discussed the role of religion in Columbus’s discovery.  She touched on how people saw the Native Americans and why Christopher Columbus received so much acclaim.
