ALERT! Girard at Large has learned that the Association of Manchester Principals and Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas formally entered into a tentative agreement this morning. While the specific terms were not disclosed, it is expected that in exchange for preserving a scheduled pay raise, receiving incentives for retirement and non-use of the city’s health plan, and recalling laid off union members, the principals’ union will accept the same restructuring of its health benefits.

The tentative agreement will be taken up by the school board tonight at a special meeting called to review the tentative agreement made with Manchester Education Association.
