WLMW sign farThe Girard at Large Morning Show and New Hampshire Family Radio (90.7 FM WLMW) are hosting an open house and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 4 to 6 PM!  NH Family Radio has hired the parent company of Girard at Large to develop new programming on the station and the construction of our state of the art facilities represents the laying of the cornerstone needed to support this effort.  To date, three new hour long shows have been launched:

  • The Dining Detectives, co-hosted by NH Magazine Food Editor Susan Laughlin and host of WBIN-TV’s Chef’s Plate host Helen Ryba
  • Get Real, Get Healthy, hosted by certified personal trainer Rhoda Sommer
  • Inside Education, hosted by Sid Glassner, Senior Fellow with the New England Society for the Study of Education and segment anchor of  “Is Our Children Learning?” on Girard at Large.

We are actively seeking new content providers to host segments on Girard at Large and shows on NH Family Radio.

girard-at-large-logoWe are also aggressively looking for new businesses partners to sponsor current and future on air offerings.  Sponsors may, if desired, play an integral role in developing and or providing the new content.  Chamber members will receive discounts of at least 10% on sponsorships.

During our nearly four years on the air, we have developed a unique and highly effective approach to disseminating our broadcast content via our Web site and social media outlets.  No online talk radio show or host has a larger more active presence on social media than Girard at Large, whose activity and following is second only to a very large station that covers two states in the Upper Valley.

Our broadcast, recording and production facilities were designed and installed by one of the best sound engineers in the business, who happens to live in Concord, and now produces our shows.  They are so good, in fact, they could, and at some point will be used for professional voice over and music recording.  Our expansion takes us from a 280 square foot conference room to a 1,500 square foot office suite, complete with a dual reception area, control room, broadcast room and three offices.

The event will feature a live broadcast, door prizes and more!  Food will be provided by New England’s Tap House Grille, a unique upscale pub whose award winning food has been the talk of Manchester for the past year.  Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas, Meteorologist Al Kaprielian, our Number 1 Fan Christopher Duffley, and area chambers of commerce will be on hand for the occasion.

Sorry for the delay, and thanks!!
